Wilma Hazle Knott, age 93, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Robin Brooke Senior Living in Elizabethtown.
She was retired from Dade County Schools Systems in Miami Florida, was a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church, a very loving and caring woman who spent most of her days with family and friends. She also loved watching games shows, The Young and the Restless and sports.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husbands, James Rexford Blakeman and Louis Edward “Lou” Knott; a son, Jeffrey Blakeman; her parents, Bob and Virgie Jaggers Hazle; two sisters, Ruth Laha and Nina Cundiff and a brother, Bobby Hazle.
She is survived by two sons, Freddie Blakeman of Radcliff and Phillip Blakeman of Buffalo; a step-son, Byron Knott of Hardinsburg; six grandchildren, David Blakeman, Katie Barnes, Cody Blakeman, Hope Blakeman, Taylor Barney and Kennedy Chapman; three step-grandchildren, Benjamin Knott, Megan Knott and Nicholas Knott; seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Norma Scruggs of Alabama.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 5, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Dr. Ray Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. .
