William "Buster" Burlin Beard

William “Buster” Burlin Beard, age 80, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

He was a member of New Hope Community Church in Elizabethtown, a retired heavy equipment operator who loved to fish and tinker with old things.

Buster was preceded in death by his parents, Lindsey and Evelyn Allen Beard and a brother, Kenneth Beard.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Howell Beard of Hodgenville, two daughters, Amber (Terry) Meredith of Hodgenville and Shannon (Sam) Escove of Virginia; three sisters, Betty Lou Richards of Elizabethtown, Marsha (Steve) Parr of Elizabethtown and Bonnie (Don) Cunniff of Florida; two brothers, Lindsey (Nancy) Beard Jr. of Campbellsville and Michael (Betty Jo) Beard of Hodgenville; three grandchildren, Josh Meredith, Kaleb (Bailey) Gifford and Hailey (Cameron) Huffer; two great-grandchildren, Killian Gifford and Raylee Huffer.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Herb Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
