Wesley Gale Hornback, age 77, of Hodgenville, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sonora; was a devoted husband, dad and papaw and in his retirement was an avid antique collector and dealer.
Gale was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Jesse T. and Mary Alma Milby Hornback.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen Hornback; three children, Wesley (Jennifer) Hornback of Magnolia, Donnie (Kim) Hornback of Sonora and Sara (Craig) Goodwin of Horse Cave; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Ashley Hornback and her son Ian Perez, Makenzie (Keith Powers) Hornback, Jesse Hornback and his son Weston Hornback, Chase (Erika) Goodwin, Tara (Jaren Lindsay) Goodwin and her son Huston Goodwin and Kirsten Goodwin and three sisters, Verna Dean Cottrell of Bonnieville, Dixie Anderson of Alabama and Carolyn Wilson of California.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 23, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Tony Carson officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
