Wanda Marie Hunt, age 77, of Horse Cave, a native of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at her residence.
She was a softball pitcher in her youth and enjoyed crocheting and reading.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, John Jefferson and Edith Lucille Morgan Gushwa; two brothers, Jerry Wayne and Larry Gushwa and a sister, Judy Lucille Singletary.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Steven “Steve” Hunt, Jr.; a daughter, Christina Marie Hunt; two sons, David Kenneth (Regina Ann) Hunt and Daniel Stephen (Megan Marie) Hunt; two grandchildren, Ella Marie Fox and Madeline Marie Hunt; two sisters, Martha Beth Fotopulos and Linda Joan Rockwell and a brother, Roy Dale Gushwa.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. (ET) Saturday July 19, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Dwayne Cook officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. on Saturday.
