Walter James Brangers, age 53, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.
The Fire Department and his family were his life. He was a lifetime volunteer firefighter for Hodgenville City, Magnolia, LaRue County and Ekron Fire Departments Walter was also a forklift operator for AGC in Elizabethtown and an avid deer hunter.
Walter was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Ditto.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Hoke; four daughters, April Siders of Texas, Kassandra (Thurman) Rone of Hodgenville, Katilynn (Brian) Carson of White Mills and Kim (Tate) Smith of New Mexico; a son; Chris Hoke of Ekron; 12 grandchildren, David, Ameila, and Jackson Siders, Christian and Marshal Rone, Skylar Barito, Gideon, Lillybelle and Leonidas Carson, Freya Vincent, Anothony Vincent and Taylor Smith; his parents, Frank and Brenda Leonard Brangers and a brother, John (Dawn) Brangers of Payneville.
Walter was cremated.
Memorial visitation will be 10 am to 1 pm Saturday, May 17, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
