Vona Mae Smith

Vona Smith, age 77, of Hodgenville, passed away, Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin.

She was a retired teachers assistant for LaRue County Schools, a loving mother and sister who loved the Lord.

Vona was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny “Jack” Meredith and Julie Ann Butler Meredith; a sister, Michelle Farris and a brother, Randall Meredith.

She is survived by a son, Cassidy “Chris” Smith of Hodgenville; a brother, Johnny Meredith of Hodgenville; three sisters, Delores (Michael) Vaughn of Louisville, Carol Crim of Cecilia and Kathy Brooks of Buffalo.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday, May 6, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home, Bro. DeWayne Gibson officiating. Cremation will follow.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
