Terry Christopher Butler, age 54, of Hodgenville, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at his residence.
Terry and Stephanie were together for 23 years and recently had exchanged vows in their home after he was diagnosed with cancer. Both had also recently recommitted their lives to Christ and relied heavily on their faith in God to get them through this battle.
He was a very proud and devoted employee at United Parcel Service and recently received his plaque for 35 years of service within the company. Described by several of his coworkers and a man of great character, high integrity and extreme commitment, Terry had a profound impact on nearly everyone he came in contact with at UPS. He was loved by so many there and they truly were his second family.
Terry loved cats and had four that he considered his babies, Gracie, Faith, Hope and Love. He also loved sports, especially University of Louisville football, as he spent 3 years attending the school, studying management and finance.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Dorothy and Otha Butler and a nephew, Jeremy Snider.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Saunders-Butler; his sister, Kim (Keith) Snider of Washington, MO; an aunt, Diane Curry; an uncle, Claude Powell; special cousins, Michelle “Sissy” Howell and Lane Howell, as well as many more nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 30, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Pastor Rick Graybill officiating. Burial will follow in Hodgenville Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
