Steve Vincent, age 71, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, August 3, 2025, at his residence after a long illness.
He was of the Pentecostal faith, he loved playing his guitar, singing George Jones and Gospel songs. He also played in the band at the Senior Citizen center until he had a stroke. During his working career Steve spent 16 years at North Santiam Plywood Mill in Oregon and drove an 18-wheeler for 12 years at Jeld-Wen.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; Billy and Beulah Johnson Vincent; a step-son, Denny Ward and a sister, Josephine Fink.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Ward Vincent; a son, Shane Vincent of Oregon; a daughter, Jennifer (Ryan) Longfellow of Oregon; two brothers, Chester (Tina) Vincent of North Carolina and Huel Vincent of Hodgenville; two step-sons, Jason Ward of Upton and Justin (Karen) Ward of Sonora; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Randy Buckles officiating. Burial will follow in Upton Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue after 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home.
