Stella Elizabeth Wells, age 89, passed away, Saturday October 19, 2024, at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she loved the Lord and reading the bible, was a member of Lincoln Memorial Baptist Church and a former seamstress at Nationwide Uniform. Stella was compassionate, always putting the needs of others above her own and loved quilting, gardening and growing flowers.
Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Melvin Wells; her parents, Mayes and Bessie Gardner Brown; a sister, Christine Salsman and four brothers, Claude, Robert, Harold Leon and Jesse Brown.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna (Gregg) Spencer of OK; a son, Dennis G. (Judy) Wells of Hodgenville; five grandchildren, Jacob (April) Spencer, Jim Spencer and Jessica (Waylan) Callander, all of OK, Tyler (Sarah Lynn) Wells of IN and Sara (Evan Masterson) Wells of KY and nine great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Oliver Wells, Logan and Andrew Spencer, Madison and McKenna Callander and Alice, Pearl and Clark Spencer.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, October 21, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Elder Jerry Green officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memorial Church Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Spencer, Jim Spencer, Tyler Wells, Logan Spencer, Andrew Spencer and Evan Masterson.
