Sherry Marcum

Sherry Diane Marcum, age 65, of Hodgenville, passed away, Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Baptist Health Louisville.

A loving mother, friend and strong Christian woman, she was a member of Ovesen Heights Baptist Church and loved to worship the Lord anywhere she could, especially the former Kingdom Life Church in Elizabethtown.  Sherry lived life to the fullest, was up for any adventure and adored and supported her grandkids, playing any game with them they wanted to and attending their soccer and football games.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Lonnie Meredith on November 13, 1969 and her stepdad, Norman D. Copley on October 1, 2005.

Sherry is survived by three children, Chasidy McDowell, Andrew Marcum and Angelina (Josh) Pickerell; her mother, Phyllis Copley; three grandchildren, Noah Rucker, Jonah Pickerell and Elyannah Pickerell; six siblings, Charlotte (Junior) Bingham, Shelia (Donald) Pawley, Susie (Brad) Evans, Donovan (Trista) Copley, David (Rhonda) Copley and Dennis (Shereese) Copley as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 20, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Merrill Kurtz and Pastor Raynard Romero officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will begins at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
