Sandy Combs

Sandy Combs, age 68, of Hodgenville, was born August 15, 1955, in Louisville, departed this life on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at her home with her husband and niece by her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lorraine Peggy Akin Murphy; her late husband of 34 years, Jerry Frank Belden; a sister, Sundie Smothers; two brothers, Jerry Ray Pepper and Norman Gene Pepper.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Freddie Ray Combs of Hodgenville; an adopted son, Matt Combs of Bullitt County; two adopted grandsons, Matthew Dylan Combs of Bullitt County and Dusitn (Lexie) Combs of New Jersey; a twin sister, Sandra Wright of Louisville; two very close and special nieces, Constance Jones of Crestwood and Angie Martinez of Colorado and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 14, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Sister Doris Randols officiating. Burial will follow in the Akin Family Cemetery in Greensburg.  

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
