Sallye (Miller) McDougal

Ms. Sallye Mae McDougal, of Hodgenville, transitioned from this life to Glory on Monday, October 15, 2018.

She was born in Albany, KY on February 2, 1933 to loving parents John “Dude” and Della Miller, whom preceded her in death.  Sallye attended Dunbar High School.  She professed her belief in Christ at an early age and united with New Hope Baptist Church.

Sallye married the love of her life, Robert McDougal, who preceded her in death.  They shared 57 wonderful years together.  Sallye moved to Akron, OH and was employed with St. Thomas Hospital where she retired after 32 years of faithful service.  She returned to Albany and joined Liberty Water View Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her health failed.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Russell (Eddie) Miller, Johnny (Eloise) Millet, Lyle (Madeline) Miller and Richard (Ila) Miller and a sister, Mary (Reid) Williams

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.  Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.

Visitation begins after 11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
