Ruth M. Sprowles Lewis, age 105, of Glasgow, formerly of Buffalo, passed away, Saturday, March 23, 2024, at her residence.
She was a retired supervisor for the Department of Social Services in Riverside, California, a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and a past Worthy Matron for the Order of Eastern Star.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands, O. Lincoln Sprowles and Wayne Lewis; a daughter, Betty Neumann; a son, Dennis Sprowles; her parents, Richard Elmer and Ann Elizabeth Chaudoin Matherly; several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a son, Richard Sprowles of VanNuys, California; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Sprowles of Glasgow; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 29, at Taylors Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, 3761 Taylors Chapel Rd. Campbellsville.
Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville is in charge of arrangements.
