Ruby Jean Skaggs Crump, age 93, of Magnolia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
She was a fan of most sports, especially her Kentucky Wildcats and was a member of Mt. Zion Separate Baptist Church, where she enjoyed playing piano for many years.
Ruby Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Marvin Walton Crump, along with his sisters; her parents, Everett and Lizzie Pepper Skaggs; a brother, Arvin Skaggs; two sisters, Irene Scott and Mattie Whitlow.
She is survived by two daughters, Pam (Gary) Milby and Ginger (Todd) Goodwine; a granddaughter, Lindsey Milby (Mike) Webber; two step-grandchildren, Cassie (Braden) Cooper and Kirby Goodwine; three great-grandchildren, Palmer, Sloane and Wells Webber; a step-great-grandchild, Layne Cooper and her special caregivers, Wanda Arnett and Marci Weller.
A special thank you for the kindness shown to our mom during her stay at Baptist Health Hardin Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. (ET), Saturday, July 6, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home with Tony Skaggs and Bro. James Crim officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. (ET), Saturday at the funeral home.
