Ross Mellott

Ross Allen Mellott, age 63, of Magnolia, passed away, Monday October 6, 2025 at his residence.

He was a decorated Gulf War Veteran, attained multiple masters degrees from Malone University, enjoyed gardening and woodworking, he avidly studied the gospel and loved to minister.  

Ross was preceded in death by his parents, Ross Rupert and Sally Lee Fox Mellott and two brothers, Christopher Mellott and Scott Mellott.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Mellott; a daughter Erin Mellott of Washington, D.C.;  four sons, Michael ( LaRissa) Mellott of Georgia, Matthew (Eugenia) Mellott of Magnolia. Phillip (Jackie) Mellott of Pennsylvania, Daniel Mellott of Washington, D.C.; Eleven grandchildren; a sister, Michelle (Jerry) Montgomery of Pennsylvania and a brother, Robert (Trisha) Mellott of Pennsylvania.

Ross was cremated.

Memorial services will be held at 12 pm Saturday, October 18, at Buffalo Church Of The Nazarene. 

Dixon-Rogers Funeral home is assisting the family with arrangements.
