Rosa Wright

Rosa Wright, age 88, of Mt. Washington, formerly of Linwood, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at Baptist Health East in Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Wright; a daughter, Sue Thomas; her parents, Hartford and Beatrice Vance Benningfield and four brothers, Hugh Benningfield, J.G. “Bunt” Benningfield, Jim Benningfield and Alton “Latch” Benningfield.

Rosa is survived by her 2 grandchildren, Corey Lynn (Dustin) Norton and John “Paul” Thomas, all of Mt. Washington; 2 great-grandchildren, Simon Norton and Maggie Norton and a son-in-law, Gordy Thomas.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. (ET) Thursday, May 23, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Mark Benningfield officiating. Burial will follow in Timberlake Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
