Rollie W. Thompson, age 77, of Magnolia, passed away, Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at his residence.
He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, a former employee of Brown Williamson in Louisville, a great musician, performing many times at Lincoln Jamboree and he remodeled and sold many homes to hundreds of families.
Rollie was preceded in death by a daughter, Della Thompson; a grandson, Colby Thompson; his mother, Hazle Underwood Thompson and a brother, Leon Thompson.
He is survived by his special life companion, Carol Andrews; a daughter, Pennie (Tom) Akin of Green County; four sons, Rowland (Aelena) Thompson of Magnolia, Jeremy Andrews of Hodgenville, Jason Andrews of Hodgenville and Joey (Sarah) Andrews of Louisville; three sisters, Marcie (Frankie) Weller of Magnolia, Wanda (Jr.) Arnett and Jewell (Hayden) Pickett all of Mt. Sherman; two brothers, Carl Thompson of Glendale and Glen (Mary) Thompson of Elizabethtown; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchild and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 11, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Bro. Austin Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and continue after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
