Robert "Bob" Schmitz Obituary

Robert “Bob” A. Schmitz, age 74, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Signature Healthcare of Elizabethtown.

He was retired from Gates Rubber Company in Elizabethtown.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Nelson Schmitz and his parents, Roy and Olga Wraa Schmitz.

He is survived by a son, Robert L. (Jeannie) Schmitz of Hodgenville; a daughter, Tammy DeYoung of Clermont, Florida; six grandchildren, Heather, Cory, Jessica, Lindsey, Ryan and Caitlin; three great-grandchildren, Haven, Landon and Roman; three sisters, Pearl, Shelia and Jo and two brothers, Richard and Charles.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation was chosen.
