Robert J Rutledge

Robert J. Rutledge, age 77, of Buffalo, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

He loved his kids and grandkids, feeding the birds, studying the Bible and talking to God.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Marilyn Maureen Atwell Rutledge and a granddaughter, Megan Pierce.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Rutledge; five daughters, Teresa (David) Howard, Bonnie (Jesse) Johnson, Judy Graham, Pam Meredith and Joanne; three sons, Robert (Twala) Rutledge, Danny (Lynn) Rutledge and Greg (Sandy) Howard; two sisters, Judy (Bobby) Owens and Marie Burd; four brothers, Mitchell (Deborah) Rutledge, Marion Rutledge, Ricky Rutledge and Roger (Lesa) Rutledge; 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. (ET), Thursday, April 13, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Gary Talley officiating.  Burial will follow in Pearl Webb Cemetery in Canmer.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. (ET) Wednesday and after 10 a.m. (ET) Thursday at the funeral home.
