Richard “Dicky” Taylor, 73, of Louisville, a native of Hodgenville, passed away, Friday, September 10, 2021, at the VA Hospital in Louisville.
He was an Army veteran and a retired U.S. Postal Service Supervisor serving for over 30 years, the last few years was at the Fern Creek office.
Dicky was preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Mary Slack Taylor; two brothers, Robert and Donald Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Whelan Taylor; a daughter, Jennifer Taylor (David) of Cookeville, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with full military honors will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 16, at St. Ann Cemetery, 7490 Howardstown Road, New Haven.
Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
