Richard A. Zahrndt

Richard A. Zahrndt, age 75, of Hodgenville, passed away, Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

He was an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam era, a farmer and he loved the VA.

Richard was preceded in death by a son, David Zahrndt and his mother, Eva Beckett Zahrndt.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne McDowell Zahrndt; two sons, Mike (Suzanne) Zahrndt and Jason (Robin) Zahrndt all of Hodgenville; his father, Harold Zahrndt of Missouri; a sister, Barb Garvey of Missouri; seven grandchildren, Lauren, John, Cooper, Kei, Amelia, Julie and Drew; a daughter-in-law, Cristi Watts.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Billy Curle officiating. Burial will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.  

Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home.
