Rev. David Edward Miller, age 83, of Hodgenville, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, at his residence.
He was a proud Navy and Air Force veteran, recently being honored to go with the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. A member of South Fork Baptist Church, David loved ministering and singing, formerly pastoring O’Brien Baptist Church in Florida and Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Lincoln County.
David was preceded in death by a daughter, Faith Renee Miller; his parents, Guy Miller, Jr. and Clara DeSpain Mather and a brother, Ricky Mather.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Lee Miller; five children, John Paul Miller of Louisville, Christopher G. (Sharman) Miller of Louisville and their children, Nic, Julien, Sam, Violet, Scarlet and Maizy, Shannon (Christian Croxton) Miller of Bowling Green, Kim Lee (Kent) Montgomery of Elizabethtown and their children Cory, Ryan and Austin and Kay (Larry) Howell of Magnolia and their children Cody (Stephanie) and Tyler (Molly); eleven siblings, Don (Janice) Miller, Carla Mather, Randy Mather, Katie (Gary) Dove, Kathy Miller, Karen (Richard) Gambrell, Karmen (Steve) Libby, Kristen (Jo) McDonald, Kenn (Erica) Miller, Jayne Allen and Billy Miller; 7 great-grandchildren with one on the way; many nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of other friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Jonathan Carl officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
