Elizabeth Rebecca Davis, age 91, a resident of Magnolia, passed away on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
Rebecca was born on May 20th, 1934, in Summertown, Tennessee to the late George Riley Wilkinson and Sallie Lou Phillips Wilkinson. She attended Summertown High School. Later on, she married Marvin Leslie Davis on June 10, 1952, whom she was married to for 64 years.
Known for being a hard worker her whole life, she retired from Louisville Bedding and spent her later years in life working on her beloved farm. She was a member of Mt. Zion Separate Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Davis; her brothers, Carl Wilkinson, Roy Wilkinson and G.A. Wilkinson; sisters, Louise Collett, Ozell Elkins, Dellar Payne, Vera Davis, Dorothy Barton and Rosemary West; a granddaughter, Melissa Whittemore and a son-in-law Ray Shoemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Shoemaker and Donna (Allen) Hunter, all of Magnolia; her son Donnie (Debbie) Davis of Hodgenville; her grandchildren, Michelle Nolan, Kevin Shoemaker, Donnie Davis, Dale Hunter and April Wells; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special care takers, Hailey Bailey and Brooke Wells.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. ET Wednesday, August 20, 2025, At Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Bro. James Crim Officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. ET Tuesday and continue after 10 a.m. ET Wednesday at the funeral home.
