Raymond Adrian Akridge, age 95, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky
He was a Navy Veteran serving in WWII, a member of Friendship No. 2 Baptist Church, former assistant manager at Hardin County Milling for 15 years, a milk grader for Armor Creamery for 20 years, a lifetime farmer and former co-owner of South Side Shell Station.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Lonza and Lena Mae Wade Akridge Sr.; four sisters, Audrey Coy, Ruth Jones, Kathleen Powell and Lula Murray; three brothers, Walter, Lonza Jr. and Earl Akridge.
He is survived by his wife, Helena Ruth Propes Akridge; two daughters, Dorothy Noble of Munfordville and Dee Rheaume of Bowling Green; two sons, Dallas Akridge of Upton and Darold (Mary) Akridge of Magnolia; 10 grandchildren, Lori, Christi, Dani, Claude, Jenny, Malena, Ian, Thomas, Elizabeth and Kimmy; a sister, Jean Feger and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Bro. Steve Hussung officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship No. 2 Church Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
