Ray Meredith, age 81, of Hodgenville, went to his eternal home on Friday, December 24, 2021, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
He was a member of Family Worship Center in Hodgenville, a retired mechanic for Wrights 210, retiring after 20 years of service in 2004, an avid fan of NASCAR and UK Basketball and loved driving his 1959 Ford in parades.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; Odie and Elva Tucker Meredith; a brother, William Otis and a grandson, Layton Cline.
Ray is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kay Meredith; a daughter, Kalinta (Jason) Underwood of LaGrange; a son, Mark (Scarlet) Cline of Las Vegas; his Little Sidekick, Raelynn Gray; a stepson, Jamie (Patricia Eaton) Gray of Elizabethtown; a brother, Randell (Blinda) Meredith of Magnolia; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren with an additional 3 on the way, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish his memory.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, with Bro. Noah Hensley and Bro. Tom Downey officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
