Perry Abel Huccaby, 83, was called home on Monday, August 21, 2023, with family at the bedside. He was born on June 23, 1940, to the late Isaac Hucaby and Lena Campbell Hucaby.
He was a committed Christian and shared his love of the Lord through song in the choir and as a deacon at First Baptist Church of Hodgenville.
Perry participated in many community music clubs including a barber shop quartet, men’s choir and Dulcimer club.
He graduated with a Master’s Degree from Western Kentucky University and dedicated over 40 years to mentoring and educating students at Elizabethtown High School and Elizabethtown Community College.
Perry is survived by his beloved wife Barbara; children, Brian and Trina; brother Jim (Jan) Huccaby and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 26 at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Louis Humes and Rev. George Smith officiating. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
