Patricia Ann Durham, age 81, of Hodgenville, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville.
She was a graduate of LaRue County High School, The University of Kentucky and earned her master’s degree from Northern Michigan University. She was a retired Home Economics teacher at LaRue County High School where she taught for nearly 35 years and was longtime advisor for Future Homemakers of America and 4-H. She embraced her role as an Air Force wife while her husband served, was a member of Hodgenville Christian Church and served as president of Christian Women’s Fellowship for a number of years.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Virginia McCarty Hager and a son-in-law, Chris Shewmaker.
She is survived by her husband of 59 ½ years, Nicky Durham; a daughter, Deana Shewmaker of Lebanon; a son, Patrick (Jennifer) Durham of Hodgenville; five grandchildren, Zachary Shewmaker, Marc Shewmaker, Payton Shewmaker, Thomas (Macy) Hoppes and Lucas Durham; a sister, Diane (Eddie) Gardner of Hodgenville and a sister-in-law, Bo (Jack) Decker of Hodgenville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, February 7, at Bennett- Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Greg Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in South Fork Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday and after 9 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
