Ola Jean Riggs

Ola Jean Tharp Riggs, age 94 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at her residence.

She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Hodgenville and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Russell Riggs in 1996; her parents, Virgil and Nancy Mae Arnett Tharp; a granddaughter, Linda Mae Herron; two sons-in-law, Thad Truest Wheeler and Charles Ray Herron; two sisters, Velma Tharp Mollett and Louise Tharp Hudgins and two brothers, Clyde Tharp and Russell L. Tharp.

She is survived by a daughter, Gail Riggs Herron of Hodgenville; two grandsons, Ricky Dale (Cindy) Herron of Hodgenville and Dennis Ray (Emily) Herron of Daytona Beach, Florida; a step-daughter, Lois Ann Riggs Wheeler (Berlon) Roy of Glasgow; four great-grandchildren, Sarah Herron (Alex) Pike, Jaide Herron, Sullie (Melissa) Herron and Savannah Herron and three great-great-grandchildren and one on the way, Donovan Michael Pike, Charles James Pike and Charlotte Mae (Charlie Mae) Herron.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Dennis Herron officiating.  Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM Friday and after 9 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
