Nicholas Adam Whittington, age 44, of Hodgenville, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at University of Louisville Hospital.
A loving husband, father and son, he lifted everyone’s spirit that knew him and never met a stranger. Adam grew up in Prattville, Alabama and moved to Hodgenville in 2008, was a huge University of Alabama sports fan and attended Southeast Christian Church, Elizabethtown Campus.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Davis Ray and Bonnie Bell Whittington.
Adam is survived by his wife, Erin Whittington; two children, Abigail and Micah Whittington; his parents, Don and Rebecca Whittington of Prattville, Alabama; a brother, Justin (Brittany) Whittington of Helena, Alabama; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Sybil Lee of Prattville, Alabama; his father and mother-in-law, Victor and Glenda Girard of Linwood; a sister-in-law, Megan (Scott) Barman of New York; a brother-in-law, Brad Girard of Linwood; six nieces and a nephew, Rayleigh and Avery Whittington, Allie, Hope, Katie and John Girard and Trixie Barman.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, February 14, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Scott Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
