Nancy Carter, age 80, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Baptist Health Hardin.
She retired from Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, James Carter, her parents, Albert and Christine Montgomery Bishop and two brothers, Herman Bishop and Gary Melton.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Grant of Hodgenville, and Willa Dean Serrano of Brandenburg; three sons, Ricky Carter, Tommy Melton and Gerald Benjamins all of Hodgenville; a brother, Billy Bishop of Hodgenville; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, August 25, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Old Mount Sherman Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Nancy’s pallbearers will be, Justin Carter, Alex Carter, Emily Metcalf, Matt Melton, Bo Harper and Jaden Furman.
