Mildred (Murphy) Martin

Mildred Murphy Martin, age 90, of the Roanoke community, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.

She was a member of Union Christian Church and a homemaker.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Clarence “LeRoy” Martin; her parents, Emmett Murphy and Sarah Jane “Janie” Wright Murphy VanMeter and a granddaughter, Shannon Renee Brian.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Bernard) Bacher of Elizabethtown and Dianna (Stephen) Brian of Louisville; two sisters, Dorothy Gardner of Roanoke and Elizabeth (Ray) Gardner of Louisville; three grandchildren, Gregory Brian, Alyssa (Nathan) Harley and Brittany (Chris) Schaefer and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, at Union Christian Church near Hodgenville with Bro. Steve Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
