Michael J. "Mickey" Rigdon

Michael J. “Mickey” Rigdon, age 64, of Munfordville, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

He enjoyed the simple things, loved fishing and hunting, was a champion coon hunter in the 1990’s and raised champion roosters; more than anything he was a loving father and grandfather.

Mickey was preceded in death by his son, Michael William Rigdon; an infant son, Wesley Joe Rigdon; his parents, Willie Nelson and Catherine Lois Avery Rigdon and a sister, Marilyn Rigdon.

He is survived by his fiancé, Tammy Groce; a daughter Latasha (Christopher) Ducey; two sons, Justin (Carmi) Druen and Patrick Joe (Cheyenne) Rigdon; seven grandchildren, Jacquelyn Rigdon, Beyonca Embree, Zackariya Taher, Liam Rigdon, Cordi Rigdon, Asa Druen, Raelee Druen and six sisters, Glenda (Victor) Girard, Teresa Rigdon, Melinda Bault, Kathryn (Hiraz) Faheed, Renea Ann (Brian) Jaggers and Chris Jones.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 10, at Knoxes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Tom Mauldin officiating.  

Visitation will be held 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Dixon Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia. There will not be any visitation on Sunday at the funeral home, everyone will meet at the cemetery for the 2 p.m. graveside service.
