Michael Ambrose Collins, age 70, of Hodgenville, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, surrounded by his family at home.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 87 in Hodgenville. He was an Army and Marine Corp Veteran and retired from Sabert Manufacturing in Shepherdsville.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Edna Beam Collins; ex-wife and mother of Micha Collins, Laura Ball Collins; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Carl Alan Carr and a brother-in-law, Dave Harris.
He is survived by his loving wife Theresa Collins, who has been by his side through thick and thin for 32 years; seven children, Bobby (Tammy) Carr of Buffalo, Tina (Charlie) Burris of Brandenburg, Joanna Carr of Hodgenville, Crystal Michele (Randall Scot) Rowe of OH, Micha (Melissa) Collins of Louisville, Michael Lawrence Carr and Nicole (AJ) Collins, all of Hodgenville; four sisters, Marie (Butch) Bell of Bardstown, Barbara (Gordon Raufisen) Gering of TX, Jan (JB) Bowles of Glasgow and Rebecca “Becky” Harris of IN; eleven grandchildren Brittany (Stephen) Shorey, Ashley (Jacob) LeSane, Robert Dutton, Heather Dutton, Austin Hensley, Deanna Carr, Chyanne Collins, Julia Collins, Brandon Scott Rowe, Cody Dylan Rowe and Nathon Scot Rowe and eight great-grandchildren Ann Marie Pace, Abigale Pace, Oliva Grace Shorey, Alexandria Pace, Brandie Anna Shorey, Landon Pullen, Charles W Dutton and Emma Rose Strong.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hodgenville with Father Brian Kenney officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 6 p.m. with Deacon Jim Cecil officiating and after 9 a.m. Monday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
