Melissa McChristian

Melissa Anne McChristian, age 47, of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026 at her residence.  

She was creative, loved baking  and making beautiful cakes and was passionate about homeschooling her children.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Dwight Carpenter Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Jarrod McChristian; five daughters, Katelyn (Jamie) Weiss, Lily Shae McChristian, Rachel McChristian, Emily McChristian, Julia McChristian; four sons, Caleb McChristian, Jaedon McChristian, Zachary McChristian, Benjamin McChristian; her mother, Sandra (Martin) Sue Hathaway Carpenter Brauchle; two sisters, Teresa Ann Bienasz of St. Charles, Illinois and Maggie (Jimmy) Coursey of Elizabethtown and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

Melissa was cremated.

The family will be conducting a memorial service 1 p.m. (CT) Monday, January 12 at Horse Cave Christian Church with Pastor Don Cox officiating.
