Mary Jane Edlin, born Mary Jane Nunn on February 26, 1934, in Hodgenville, Kentucky, passed away on May 29, 2025, at Sanders Ridge Health Campus in Mount Washington, Kentucky.
Jane was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Her many talents included cooking, sewing, photography, crafting, woodworking, caretaking and so much more. She stood firm in her faith, of which her life was an example.
She was preceded in death by Handley Hayes Edlin, her beloved husband of 57 years. Serving as a minister’s wife, she dedicated herself to supporting him through his many years of ministry. She was key in the writing and publication of his book Commentary on the Revelation of Jesus Christ. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, directed Christmas Programs and was involved in many other aspects of the ministry.
Jane was also preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Marie Nunn, her father, Jesse Lively Nunn, her siblings, Henry Alex Nunn, Ira Lively “Butch” Nunn, and Kathleen Marie Dudgeon.
She is survived by her daughters Dana Marie Edlin, Anita Burkett (Bobby), and Kathy Armstrong (William), her grandchildren, Tony Keown, Toya Keown, Matthew Cooper, Tara Puckett (Mike), Micah Dixon (Staci), and Jayne Kelli Lively (Marcus), eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held in Jane’s honor at Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville at 11 a.m. (ET) Saturday, May 31, Bro. Marc Mobley officiating.
In remembrance of Jane, the family has designated Louisville Bible College, P.O. Box 91046, Louisville KY 40291 whose mission is educating preachers and other Christian leaders for Christ’s Church.
