Mary Ann Guiles, age 74, of New Haven, passed away, Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was born in Bardstown on January 14, 1950, to the late Nicholas Andrew Burba and Mary Lee Shain Burba.
Mary Ann was a high school graduate and a beautician for several years; worked at two nursing homes and later was employed as a home health aide until her own health no longer allowed her to continue.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Guiles; two brothers, Nicholas Andrew Burba Jr. and Donald Keith Burba and two sisters, Elizabeth Carylon Burba and Joyce Marie Reynolds.
She is survived by two brothers, Joseph R. Burba and James Gilbert (Judy) Burba all of Bardstown; one nephew, Joseph R. (CeCe) Burba Jr. and one niece, Fiona (Jimmy) Downey.
Mary Ann is also survived by Betty Rhodes, her very best friend for many years, and a wonderful companion during the last months of illness.
Cremation was chosen and a graveside ceremony will be announced at a later date. Internment will be at the Bardstown Cemetery with Rev. Joyce Walker officiating.
