Mary Bernice Poore

Mary Bernice Poore, age 97, of Buffalo, passed away, Friday, November 15, 2024, at her residence.

She was the oldest member of South Fork Baptist Church, former employee of Bank of Buffalo, a caregiver to many and one of the best pie makers in the county.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Estil Poore; her parents, Hulet and Grace Pearl Cobb Sutherland; a sister, Norma Conner and two brothers, James and Robert Sutherland.

She is survived by three nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 18, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Bro. Jonathan Carl officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mary’s pallbearers will be Jim Hornback, Dean Hornback, Barry Eads, Kelly Flanders, David McDowell and Reed Smith.
