Margaret Louise (Gardner) Devore

Margaret Louise Devore, age 94, of Louisville, formerly of Magnolia, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021, at Summerfield Manor in Louisville.

She was a member of Pikeview Baptist Church and was a retired waitress.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Devore, Jr.; a son, James Carroll Devore; three brothers, Elbert Lee Gardner, Wilburn “Shorty” Gardner and Archie Gude Gardner; two sisters, Bonnetta Ard and Francis Ragland and two half-brothers.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Patty Devore of Louisville; four sisters-in-law, Ethel Gardner, Kathryn Gardner, Geneva Gardner and Virginia Nunn and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM (ET), Thursday, April 22, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Gary Talley officiating.  Burial will follow in Hammonsville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM (ET), Wednesday and after 9 AM (ET) Thursday at the funeral home.
