Margaret Ray Morehead, 83, of Hodgenville was called to her Heavenly home on Thursday, August 26th, 2021.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. She was a skilled entrepreneur- helping manage the successful construction/pool business that she and her husband Harold built together. Prior to that she held many different jobs including owner and operator of The Duck Inn Restaurant in Hodgenville. However, her greatest accomplishment was raising six amazing children alongside her husband and creating a truly loving home. Knowing Margaret and her commitment to family, she demonstrated the greatest love through the kitchen from pumpkin pie, jam cake, broccoli casserole to squash cakes, the creamiest homemade mashed potatoes, and baked apples. If you knew Margaret, you knew her food!
Margaret is preceded in death by her youngest son Jamie Morehead; her parents Wilfred and Lilly Ray; two sisters, Mae Mills and Christine Updegraff; and a brother Wilfred Anthony Ray, Jr.
