Mamie Lee Warren Perkins, age 93, of Buffalo, a native of Green County, passed away, Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Tender Touch Senior Living in Elizabethtown.
She made a profession of faith at a young age and joined Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, she was an excellent cook; a friend to many; a homemaker and farmed alongside her husband for many years.
Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Perkins; her parents, David and Mamie Beatrice Cantrell Warren; three grandsons, Charlie Perkins, Matt Hanson and Chris Loyall; a daughter-in-law, Jolene Perkins; a son-in-law, Eddie Fields; a brother, Holland Warren and a sister, Wava Wyatt.
She is survived by five children, Melinda Howell (Glenn), Patti Donahue (John), David Perkins (Lisa), Sharon Perkins Fields (Steve Richardson) and Cindy Hanson (Lowell); a brother, Vernon Warren, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, October 26, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. J.R. Donahue officiating. Burial will follow in the Perkins Family Cemetery in Buffalo.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mamie’s pallbearers will be Cody Howell, Tyler Howell, Ben Milby, Colton Perkins, Clayton Bowling and Carson Donahue.
