Lela Newton Hlavacek

Lela Newton Hlavacek, age 74, Metamora, Ohio, a native of Green County, passed away, Monday, December 20, 2021, at her residence.

She was a 1965 graduate of Greensburg High School and a retired cashier for Winn-Dixie in Naples Florida after 39 years.

Lela was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Hlavacek; her parents, Calvin F. and Daisy Payton Newton and a sister, Naydean Creason.

She is survived by a niece, Jessica (Darren) Ratliff of Indiana; a brother-in-law Tommy Creason , two great nephews and a great niece.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, December 27, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Bro. Austin Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in Aetna Grove Church Cemetery in Green County.

Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
