Larry E. Braden, 75, of Hodgenville, passed away, Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hodgenville where he taught Sunday school for fifteen years, Larry loved his church and always had a passion for studying God’s word. He loved hunting and watching sports with his two wonderful sons and changing batteries for his grandson, whom he dearly loved. Larry will be terribly missed and was the greatest husband a woman could have.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Audrey Nallie Braden and two brothers, Jimmy Braden and Charles Braden.
He is survived by his wife of almost 56 years, Sandra Cundiff Braden, whom he married on June 12, 1965 at Ovesen Heights Baptist Church; two sons, Scott Edward Braden, his girlfriend Tina and her daughter Macey of Elizabethtown and Derek Braden and his son Cooper Lee Braden of Shepherdsville; a brother, Jack Braden of Louisville and a sister, Naomie Roseberry of Louisville.
Funeral service will be 1 PM, Wednesday, March 3, at First Baptist Church in Hodgenville with Dr. Paul Richey officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM, Wednesday, at the church.
