Lanny Vincent

Lanny Dale Vincent, age 73, passed away, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the University of Lousville Heart Center.

In 1976, Lanny started work for Ford Motor Company in Louisville, Kentucky where he worked for 13 years. During that time, he obtained his B.S. from Indiana University Southeast and his M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Eastern Kentucky University through classes at Ford. He was promoted to management at Ford in 1989 and worked in supervision and engineering. After several promotions, Lanny was promoted to Production Manager of the nightshift in 2004, responsible for 1,200 employees. He retired in 2007. Since then, he went back to work at Ford on three different occasions on a consulting basis.

Lanny was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Elton Vincent; a brother, Joel Vincent and his first wife, Marilyn Vincent.

Lanny one time said: “God has blessed me in many ways". In 2000, I was blessed to meet my present wife and best friend, Linda. We were married in 2001 and bought a 90 acre farm in LaRue County, Kentucky. We raise beef cattle, ride our horses, love our animals and are blessed to enjoy our rural life out in the country.”

He is survived by his wife, Linda DuVal-Vincent of Buffalo; his daughter, Jessica and her husband, Jon Kasten of LaGrange; his granddaughter, Cecilia Kasten, also of LaGrange; a brother, Darrell Vincent and his sister Brenda and her husband, Wayne Sanders, all of Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 9, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Pastor Scott Akin officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.

Lanny’s Pallbearers will include, Matt Vincent, Mark Vincent, Troy Sanders, Bruce Slack, Alex LaRue and Scott Akin.
