Kathy Ann Thompson Obituary

Kathy Ann Thompson, age 73, of Magnolia, was born May 23rd, 1952 and departed this Earth on March 25th, 2026, at her residence.

She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very early age. She was a very dedicated member of South Fork Baptist Church for many years. She was involved in many clubs including the Homemakers Club and women's groups and committees at church. She took part in multiple mission trips to better the communities and spread the word and love of God. She was a lover of music of all kinds. She attended many concerts and was very actively involved with the marching band when her children were in school. She was a loyal friend, a mother to all that loved her and a good, Southern, Christian woman. She devoted most of her time to her family and gave of herself every day. To know her was to love her.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Wilma Wilson and a sister, Paula Webb.

She leaves behind the love of her life, her husband of 40 years, Leonard Thompson; her two sons, Jonathan (Irene) Castleman of Mt. Washington and Jeffrey (Mikal) Castleman of Bardstown; a sister, Linda (Lena) Thompson of Vine Grove; two step-sons, Kevin Thompson of Hodgenville, Kelly (Donna) Thompson Elizabethtown, and two step-daughters, Michelle Evans of Radcliffe and Sherry Stillwell of Glasgow as well as six grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Bro. Jonathan Carl officiating. Burial will follow in South Fork Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, 12 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
