Josephine Barbour, age 77, of Hodgenville, passed away, Thursday, January 24, 2019, at her residence.
Josephine was born May 9, 1941, in Sonora, Kentucky to the late Richard and Lillie Mae Harris Phillips. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Sonora Baptist Church. She was a retired housekeeper at Woodland Terrace Nursing Facility and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Martin and Sue Phillips and five brothers, Wilbur, Thomas, Billy, Ed and Fred Phillips.
She leaves to mourn her passing a daughter, Lisa Phillips of Hodgenville; three sons, Anthony Phillips of Elizabethtown, Ronald Phillips of Germany and Stevie (Michelle) Phillips of Magnolia; six grandchildren, Octavia Phillips, Octiana Phillips, Ronald Phillips, Jr., Malcolm Phillips, Chyna Phillips and Josephine Cheyenne Phillips; three great-grandchildren, Prince Smoot, Robert Benjamin and Adasyn Benjamin; three sisters, Fannie (Bobby) Johnson of Campbellsville, Irene Barnett and Pauline (John) Morrison all of Elizabethtown and three brothers, Richard and Robert Phillips of Sonora, Kenneth Phillips of Elizabethtown.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Curle officiating. Burial will follow in the Hubbard Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
