John Logan Cecil, age 62, of Campbellsville, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away, Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
He was a resident of Sunrise Manor Nursing Home, an avid golfer and bowler, he loved the University of Kentucky Wildcats and worked for Don Franklin Dealership in Campbellsville for many years.
Logan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Calvin and Allie Thompson and his paternal grandparent, William and Alice Cecil.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Peggy Cecil; two brothers, Pat (Rachel) Cecil of Buffalo and Eric Cecil Catherine of Hodgenville; his longtime companion, Jennifer Johnson; four nieces and nephews, Catherine Cecil, Josh Cecil, Brandon Cecil and Allie Cecil; a great-niece and great-nephew, Abby Cecil and Jaxson Cecil and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 31, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Fr. Peter Bucalo officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joachim Cemetery near White City.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and continue after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
