John Preston McCrady

John Preston McCrady, age 54, of Upton, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

He was a founding member of Steadfast Baptist Church in Hodgenville and an employee of Gates Rubber Company in the front and back plants.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Doris Hester McCrady.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn McCrady of Upton; a son, Zachary McCrady; a sister, Tammy (Eric) Walters; a brother, Bill (Renee) McCrady; nephews, B.J. (Makayla) McCrady, Jonathon (Grace) Walters, Josh (Lexi) Walters, Caleb Fields and Matthew McCrady; nieces, Sarah (Jacob) Hart, Erica (Aaron) Caswell and Audrey Fields; great-nieces and nephews, Brooklyn, Watson, Raiden, Jaxon, Gabe, Rayleigh and Lincoln; his mother-in- law, Nancy (Junior.) Beard; father-in-law, June (Jennifer) Fields and many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Bro. Josh Walters and Bro. Tim Dudley officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in Priceville.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.   

Pallbearers will be Zachary McCrady, B.J. McCrady, Jonathon Walters, Josh Walters, Aaron Caswell, Caleb Fields and Honorary Pallbearer June Fields.
