John Downs

John Wayne Downs, age 71, of Hodgenville, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

He retired from G.E and enjoyed listening to music but most of all he loved his family.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Dod and Jeanette Owens Downs and a sister, Ernestine Nalley.

He is survived by Patsy Downs; a daughter, Jennifer Gardner of FL; a son, Johnny (Carrie) Downs Jr. of Buffalo; three sisters, Ann Devers of Louisville, Linda (Larry) Morrow of Taylorsville, Judy (Leon) Newton of Bardstown; three brothers, Larry (Shirley) Downs of Bardstown, Ronnie (Shirley) Downs of Stamping Grounds, Dave (Cecilia) Downs of Nazareth; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. Saturday, July 27, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville. Burial will follow in Union Band Cemetery in Howardstown.
