Jewel Dean Humphrey, age 80, of Hodgenville, passed away, Tuesday, August 05, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin.
She was a homemaker, loved her family and loved attending church every Sunday.
Jewel was born January 12, 1945, to Charlie Fountain and Mary Ermine Puryear Wise who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Norman Dean Underwood and Donald Gene Humphrey; a daughter, Norma Jean Underwood; six sisters, Mary Elizabeth Gilbert, Thelma Helen Barnes, Alice Marie Taylor, Juanita Keeble, Alma Lucille Newton, and Patricia Lynn Wise.
She is survived by five sons; Ronnie Underwood (Angela), Garry Underwood (Tonia) all of Upton, Tony Underwood (Tonda) of Hodgenville, Farrin Humphrey (Denise) of Magnolia and Daniel Humphrey (Lisa) of Hodgenville; 12 grandchildren; Jason Underwood, Amanda Whelan (Brian), Crystal Underwood, Travis Underwood, Jessica Underwood, Bethany Sipes (Derek), Brittany Garvin, Adam Underwood (Christine), Jason Allegretti, Danielle Lewis, Amber Humphrey, and DJ Humphrey; 17 great-grandchildren; Thomas, Alexzavier, Tristan, Brooklyn, Zeth, Tyler, Braxton, Tenley, Adelyn, Kayleigh, Wyatt, Westyn, Briar, Gibson, Colton, Braizlee and Kynnidee; a sister, Shirley Wise and a sister-in-law, Gloria Humphrey; numerous friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and church family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 9, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home, Bro. Mark Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Otter Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Travis and Tyler Underwood, DJ Humphrey, Derek Sipes, Dewayne Nunn and Dewayne Tingle.
Honorary pallbearers are Colton and Westyn.
