Jerry W. Squires, age 75, of Magnolia, passed away, Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
He was retired Master Sergeant for the U.S. Army, a former civil service mechanic at Fort Knox, a boy scout leader for many years, an avid fisherman, hunter and loved the Kentucky Wildcats.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Squires; a brother, David Squires and a step son, Gary Wesley Graham.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Skaggs Squires; his mother, Lou Ellen Squires of Louisville; a son, Jerry (Molly) Squires II of Union; a daughter, Tiffany Slinker of Magnolia; three brothers, Jim (Vicki) Squires of Mount Washington, Randall Squires and Larry Squires both of Louisville; six grandchildren, Aeson Squires, Holden Squires, Cody Graham, Brooke Graham, Kaleb Graham and Landon Slinker; four great-grandchildren, Adilyn Graham, Aubrey Ella Graham, Atley West Graham and Kesley Ann Brown.
Funeral services will be 1 pm, Saturday, March 6, at Hodgenville Pentecostal Church with Bro. David Webb and Bro. Elder Boils officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Church Cemetery near Buffalo.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm, Friday, and 10 am to 12:30 pm, Saturday, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
